Real Estate Market Update – December 2014

The closed median home price in December 2014 for Long Island, which includes Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens’s housing data, was $380,000 representing a 5.6% increase over last year.  Nassau County reported a $431,250 closed median home price in December, representing a 5.4% increase over $409,000 reported by MLSLI last year.  Suffolk County reported a closed median price of $312,600 representing a 1.7% increase over last December.  Queens reported a closed median home price of $405,000, representing a 6% increase over last year.

Long Island available inventory was almost equal to last December.
